16/4/12 - Here are 2 of the towers in La Rochelle, the tower on the chain i so called because it had a chain which could be pulled across the harbour entrance, the tower with the pointy roof is called the Lanterne and used to be a lighthouse.

Day 463 - Guggenheim

Day 463 - Guggenheim by magirob
Day 463 - Guggenheim, a photo by magirob on Flickr.

6/4/12 - Here is the inside of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. The Building designed by Frank Gehry is really amazing, an architectural wonder of the modern age, I could explore the building for hours.
The contents of the building however is very questionable, I will upset some art lovers here, sadly the Guggenheim museum contains very little art, balancing a mirror against a wall is NOT art, painting a series of black squares is NOT art and a string of fairy lights is NOT art.

The Guggenheim gets 10/10 for architecture but fails miserably at hosting any art with a harsh but honest score of 1/10. Solomon R Guggenheim would spin in his grave if he saw the rubbish in his buildings.

The toilets are pretty so its worth paying the €11 to see them.
