30/5/11 - How is this for a summer retreat away from it all? I think it must be a fishermans cottage, the only way to get to it is by boat and you will have to put up with the constant noise from the waterfall next door too.

Day 149 - Come Rain or Shine
27/5/11 - Norwegians must be used to the rain, it didn't stop us getting out and about.
In the words of Rebecca Roeder -
This is a magical world, so dreamlike.
The mystical, magical illusions stretch on forever, until they meet the endless sky.
Ah, Norway the beautiful, how wonderful thou art
The land of fantastical wonders and fairytales,
You will always be first in my heart

Day 145 - Calm Waters
23/5/11 - I don't think I have seen waters as calm as this, the North sea IS a surprise to me, It was as calm as a bucket of apples in a cannibals cooking pot.
Day 144 - Saipem 7000
22/5/11 - We sailed past this little mechanical device on the way out of Stavanger Harbour, Its one of the largest mobile cranes on the planet and it is capable of lifting a whopping 14,000 tonnes and has a crew of 700

Day 142 - Briksdalsbreen
20/5/11 - Another one from the Briksdal Glacier, there are lots of these little piles of rocks around the glacier which have obviously been there since the last ice age and have not been piled up like this by tourists..
Day 141 - Briksdal Glacier
19/5/11 - This was the highlight of the whole cruise for me, seeing this was really awesome, this glacier is part of the Jostedalsbreen glacier which is the largest mainland glacier in the world.
Day 140 - Jostedalsbreen National Park
18/5/11 - We passed this waterfall on the way into the Jostedalsbreen National Park, there are waterfalls everywhere in Norway.
Day 139 - Varden
17/5/11 - This is the Summit of Varden above the town of Molde, It had a nice looking cafe at the top which was closed, Didn't they know there were over 3600 people arriving on a cruise ship for the day?
