11/10/12 - While walking around St Boniface Down on the Isle of Wight we saw loads of cobwebs and thanks to the heavy fog they were all beautifully covered in dew.

Day 651 - Autumns Bounty
10/10/12 - Whilst out on a hill climbing walk recently I found loads and loads of mushrooms, this magnificent specimens was huge, measuring 6-7 inches across.

Day 650 - Rolls-Royce 1914 Alpine Eagle
9/10/12 - This Spirit of Ecstasy, the hood ornament on Rolls Royce Cars, the statue is based upon Eleanor Velasco Thornton, the secretary and mistress of John Edward Scott-Montagu, the father of the current Lord Montagu.
Day 649 - Palace House, Beaulieu
8/10/12 - Here is Palace house on the Beaulieu Estate in the New Forest, it is also part of the Beaulieu Motor museum and is home to the 3rd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu.

Day 648 - Pipers Wait
7/10/12 - This watery and flat landscape happens to be the highest point on the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, I visited Pipers Wait as part of a mission to visit 233 of the highest points in the UK, including the Highest points in each County, Local Authority and National Park.

Day 646 - The Highest For Miles Around
5/10/12 - Another shot of the highest point in East Sussex, Ditchling Beacon. Here I am sat on the trig point which marks the county top.

Day 645 - Crossroads
4/10/12 - This sign post was on top if some hills near Brighton, it is also on the site of an old Roman road which went straight up one steep side of the hill and straight down the other side, the current road now zig zags its way up the hill crossing the hill just half a mile to the east.

Day 644 - Ditchling Beacon
3/10/12 - This Trig point is the highest point in East Sussex, standing on the top of Ditchling Beacon it has stunning views all around especially towards the north.

Day 643 - The Road Goes On
2/10/12 - This was the path I took to get to the top of Ditchling Beacon in East Sussex, it reminded me of the type of road Frodo Baggins would have taken during his journey to Rivendell in the Fellowship of the Rings book.

1/10/12 - The South Downs National Park is the UKs newest National Park, stretching for nearly 90 miles from Winchester in the west all the way to Beachy Head in the east.

Day 641 - Brighton and Beyond
30/9/12 - A new project of mine is to climb to the highest point of every county and local authority in the UK and the 5th high place for me to visit was Ditchling Beacon on the South Downs near Brighton in East Sussex, I passed this sheep pond not far from my destination, they were build for sheep to drink from before troughs were used.

Day 640 - The Path Ahead
29/9/12 - This path was on the approach to Leith hill in Surrey, It is thought that Leith Hill was the site where Æthelwulf of Wessex defeated the Danes in the year 851, I didn't see any Danes around today so whatever Æthelwulf of Wessex did it obviously worked.
